GALWAY'S NO.1 WATERSPORTS SUMMER CAMP SINCE 1995!
This is Galway's biggest and best watersports camp and arguably one of the best experiences kids have during the summer months.
Almost all of our instructors, as well as some of the biggest names in Irish windsurfing started out by attending summer camps at Rusheen Bay. At this stage, RBW is part of growing up in Galway.
We're proud of the legacy of our summer camps and we're proud of how they've grown over almost 20 years. We now offer more activities than ever with fantastic instructors in each activity, all in a fun and jam packed schedule!
Looking for a summer camp to learn English with accommodation options please contact our partner Anja at Family Stay, who can arrange the full package for you.
Our camps are packed with activities and games:
- Stand Up Paddleboarding
- Beach Games
- Kayak Polo
- SUP Races
- ...loads more!
Each day is split between two activities with a break for some lunch in between.
That means we have 10 activity sessions per week. Some of the more popular activities like windsurfing and kayaking can take up 4 or 5 sessions per week.
TIMES & DATES
We run 2 camps per week, all summer, starting every Monday and running until Friday. The morning camp is from 10.00am until 1.00pm. The afternoon camp is from 2.00pm until 5.00pm.
Camps start on June 3rd and run until August 29th.
WHAT YOU NEED
We have all the equipment you need - wetsuits, boots, lifejackets and helmets. Of course, if you have your own wetsuit, you're welcome to use it instead!
All you need to bring is a towel, a snack for the break and some warm clothes for after.
Sun cream is really important too, even if it's not a sunny day!
We have lower limit of 8 years of age for our camps.
Make sure to inform us of any health conditions such as asthma, allergies or epilepsy.
Make sure whoever you're booking for can swim. Everyone is 100% safe at all times but it's important that everyone is comfortable being out of their depth in water.
Show up about 15 minutes before camp starts. That's plenty of time to get everyone ready and on the water.
Also important: Our activities are pretty weather dependent. That means that wind, tide and other weather factors can dictate what activities take place on a particular day. We do the best we can to stick to the schedule but we're concerned with safety more than anything else.
